Father,
may many holy vocations to the priesthood arise among Christians,
vocations that will keep the faith alive
and preserve the grateful memory of your Son Jesus
through the preaching of the Gospel
and the celebration of the sacraments,
by which you continually renew your faithful.
Grant us holy ministers of your altar
who will be attentive and fervent guardians of the Eucharist,
the supreme sacrament of Christ’s gift for the salvation of the world.
Call forth ministers of your mercy,
who through the Sacrament of Reconciliation
will spread the joy of your forgiveness.
Father, may the Church welcome with joy
the many inspirations of the Spirit of your Son
and faithfully follow His guidance.
May she care for vocations to the priestly and religious life.
Help bishops, priests, deacons, consecrated persons,
and all the baptized in Christ
to faithfully fulfill their mission in service of the Gospel.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
