Has any of you done the Marian consecration (the one by St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximising Kolbe or another one)?
Or are you planning to do it?

I've consecrated myself to Mary three years ago btw, and I'm renewing my consecration on the feast of Our Lady of Carmel. I'm following St. Louis de Montfort's 33-day method for it, two weeks in now! 🙏💙
Wow! That’s so nice.
What is a Marian consecration practically?
It's a devotion to Our Lady where we promise to do everything through her - to go to Jesus through her (just like Jesus came to us through Mary), to offer her our prayers and the graces we receive. We go through Mary to Jesus, and through Jesus to the Father.
Usually, in daily life it means you do a little consecration daily (something like the Morning Offering) and you do some Marian prayers, like the rosary, the Angelus, the Little Crown chaplet, etc.
The most important thing is your interior attitude though, to really see Mary as our Mother and entrust ourselves and all we have (even spiritual graces) to her.

And once a year you do some more formal re-consecration, just to remind yourself of it and grow deeper in your devotion. So that's what I'm doing now 🤍
@misericordia thanks for explaining this! It’s a game changer in your daily life so really appreciate your effort!
I’ll pray for your renovation 🙏

@luca thank you!
I did one time. I should've done it every year
You can renew it any time 🙌🏼
You can still renew it any time! And the yearly renewal isn't obligatory, just something that's highly encouraged for your own growth in it and just to remind yourself.
Oh yes! Mine begins in July. 😊 I consecrated myself for the first time last July.
I’ve been following 33 Days to Morning Glory by Fr. Michael E. Gaitley. It’s based on St. Louis de Montfort’s 33-day preparation but also draws from St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Teresa of Calcutta, and St. John Paul II.
I really like it. I definitely struggle with the interior work at times, but it’s been so helpful. I’m really grateful something like this exists.

That's beautiful! It's been such a great help for me too. It's definitely hard, but a consecration is also something we grow in! We don't have to get everything right already.
I did the Marian consecration a few years ago using True Devotion to Mary by St Louis de Montfort.
Awesome! I love St. Louis de Montfort writings so much, it really helped me to honor Our Lady like she deserves.
@misericordia absolutely, St Louis de Montfort really is in a league of his own, truly one of the greatest Marian saints.
