By creating an account or using Legion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the app.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Legion. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Certain communities within Legion may impose additional age-based access restrictions, which will be disclosed on the relevant community page.

Legion is a forum-based platform designed to foster international Catholic collaboration, discussion, and networking. Users are expected to engage in good faith and in a manner consistent with Catholic values, teachings, and the dignity of every person.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration, including your date of birth. You may not create accounts to circumvent restrictions or to violate these Terms.

By posting content on Legion, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and reproduce your content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that your content is your own original work (or that you have the right to share it), does not violate any third-party rights, and complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You may not use Legion to: • Post content that attacks, ridicules, or undermines Catholic teaching or doctrine • Harass, bully, threaten, defame, or intimidate any person • Post obscene, sexually explicit, or pornographic material • Share false, misleading, or deceptive information • Impersonate any person or organisation • Spam or flood the platform with repetitive or unsolicited content • Promote, facilitate, or glorify illegal activity • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private information • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the platform's security, moderation, or technical systems

Legion communities are moderated by community leaders and platform administrators. We reserve the right to remove any content, warn, suspend, or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, without notice or liability. Communities that no longer have active leaders may be automatically disabled to protect the safety of members.

Legion includes an AI assistant accessible via @legion mentions in posts and comments. This feature is designed to respond to questions about Catholic teaching by referencing authoritative Church documents and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It is a supplementary tool only and does not constitute official Catholic magisterial teaching or spiritual direction. For matters of faith, conscience, or morality, always consult a qualified priest or trusted Catholic authority.

Verified users may access Legion's networking directory and AI-assisted matchmaking features. Sending direct messages to other users requires the recipient to accept a message request. You may not use these features to solicit, spam, or harass other users in any way.

Legion's networking directory is available to verified users only. While we take steps to verify the identity of members, verification does not constitute an endorsement of any person's character, intentions, or conduct. Legion cannot guarantee the safety or suitability of any individual you meet through the platform. You are solely responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users, whether online or in person. We strongly recommend that you: • Never share sensitive personal, financial, or location information with someone you have just met • Meet new connections in public places • Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, it probably is • Report any concerning behaviour to us at support@joinlegion.app To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Legion shall not be liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your interactions with other users, whether facilitated through the networking feature or otherwise.

Legion may display sponsored posts and advertisements within the platform. All sponsored content will be clearly identified. We do not endorse third-party advertisers and are not responsible for their products, services, or claims.

Your use of Legion is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By creating an account, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

By creating an account, you agree that Legion may send you transactional emails (such as account verification, password resets, and important platform notices) as well as occasional marketing communications, including updates, announcements, and newsletters related to Legion and the Catholic community. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included in every marketing email, or by contacting us at support@joinlegion.app. Opting out of marketing emails will not affect delivery of transactional or account-related messages necessary for the operation of the service.

Legion and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Legion and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on Legion without our prior written consent.

Legion is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components. Your use of Legion is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Legion and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of Legion after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the app.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Legion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
