Seriously, don’t do it. If there’s anything I’ve learnt over the last few months, it’s that we shouldn’t bring important questions of discernment to AI, “Catholic AI” especially, but also for important decisions like career and relationships.
It’s one thing to ask AI what the options are. But it’s so easy to get sucked into asking AI to become your career advisor, asking what roles are suitable for you, asking it to write your CV.
One second it will say an investment banking job is a “perfect fit” for your profile, and the next it will say you’re underqualified to work at a deli counter.
Have a conversation with a real person, because even if all they have to say is crap, you’ll gain something because your gut instinct told you not to listen, and that itself helps you to think for yourself.
With AI, there is no gut instinct, because it’s just a bunch of words.
That’s why I created this community, and removed the AI features. Let’s face it, we have enough AI in our everyday lives. We need more human intelligence, and learning to discern who to listen to.

Guilty of this!
I’m sure many of us are!!!
Although I'm guilty of this too, I recently started consciously avoiding the use of AI, and it's liberating in a way. It's a blessing to have people around, thanks fot this community:)
I love how transparent people are here 🙏
Guilty of this as well, but just like you I've been avoiding it more for the past time. Only using it for things that I can check (like writing code) and still only in a way that will actually learn me something. The rest, especially creative or important things, are meant to be human.
I am a natural skeptic of technology that is designed to “think” for us. Back in the 90s we knew the phone numbers of all of our friends without having to check notes, nowadays no one can recall anything without the mobile’s contact list.
Over reliance on what’s external of us creates dependency, and this dependency will definitely have long term consequences and I have never seen anyone talk about.

Very guilty of this! I myself want to reduce its use as much as possible only to use it for practical things to learn and not having it be my manager. God bless!
I'm also inspired to share another incident. I hope it will help someone:)
I was someone who extensively used catholic AI, and I did enjoy it, cause I didn't have to do any extra effort of reading, or being embarrassed to ask someone.
Recently as I was trying to make a change, I happened to ask one of the stupidest questions to a friend priest, and he answered it without judgement and a pinch of humour. In fact, he gave me a little more insight on that topic in simple words.
I just wanted to say that, there are people out there, willing to listen and help us:)

That’s very beautiful. It’s truly often the human connection that inspires. I believe God likes to speak through people, not AI
I find that AI makes a great assistant but should never be allowed to control anything.
