Hi y'all, I am not a Catholic yet, so I apologize if I am not supposed to be on this app, but I am interested in learning more. I have been a non denominational Christian my whole life, but have recently been having thoughts of researching the Catholic Church. I feel that I have a good relationship with God, and I have been studying the Bible, I just feel that I am missing tradition, which the Catholic Church is full of. Most of my family converted from Catholicism to Protestantism, so it would definitely be a jump for me. I feel that as I have grown deeper in my faith, Catholicism has started to make more sense to me, I feel that I am growing out of being Protestant. Especially today with alot of Evangelicals supporting the secular Israeli government no matter what, because they think it is all God inspired, and you are "antisemitic" if you don't because of "Judeo-Christian Values"
Where would I even start? I live in Chandler, AZ.

I think you should start with the Eucharist and the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist .Maybe visit a Catholic Church ,attend mass and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you
You're totally welcome here! So good you're open to learning more.
First of all, pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you in this.
I'd also suggest visiting a Catholic church to attend Mass there.
Lots of churches also have courses where the priest or a catechist explains Catholicism for people who want to know more. A bit like Alpha, but specifically Catholic. If yours has, that's a great starting point. You'll get to know the most important Catholic teachings and can ask questions right away. (There's no pressure to join the Catholic church afterwards, by the way - it's also just for people who want to learn more first!)
If Catholic churches near you don't offer that, I'd suggest starting with a few basic topics: what do Catholics believe about the sacraments, what do Catholics believe about tradition, also topics like Mary/the saints.
You can also ask any questions here, we're happy to help!

Welcome! This is the perfect place for you to be. Keep asking those questions! Here you can get both community answers but also fact checked with our ai that only references Church teachings- which works really well with Catholicism because our teachings are all so documented that it’s even possible for an AI to work without contradicting itself!
Never apologize for the road Christ is leading you down.
