Let's be honest about why you're here.
It's not because long distance is your preference. Nobody's first choice is airports and time zones and falling for someone who lives fourteen hours away. You're here because the local option didn't materialise. Because you looked around your parish, your city, your social circle - and either there was no one, or there was no one right. And after a while you accepted that the person you're looking for is probably not within walking distance.
That is not a failure. That is a correct assessment of reality.
Catholic communities are small. Genuinely practising Catholics who are serious about their faith, serious about marriage, and at the right stage of life are a minority within a minority. The odds that the right person for you is also geographically convenient were never particularly good. The fact that you're willing to look further is not desperation. It is just logic.
There is a version of this story that people tell themselves quietly - that being on an international Catholic dating platform means they couldn't cut it locally. That this is a last resort. That version is worth rejecting entirely, because it will quietly poison how you show up here.
The people who find something real through long distance are almost always the ones who stopped treating it as a lesser option and started treating it as the actual arena. They brought their full selves. They took it seriously. They didn't spend the whole time with one eye on the door in case someone local came along.
The distance is not the problem. The smallness of the Catholic dating pool is the problem - and the distance is the solution to it.
You couldn't marry the boy next door. Fine. The boy next door probably wasn't right anyway.
