Invincible, The Boys
Is anyone else keeping up? I’m a massive nerd with these things but sometimes I feel like I’m not allowed to talk about it because it’s vulgar/gory. I do have chill Catholic friends who like it too, but feel like I’d get cancelled online. Anyone else?

I watch Invincible (it’s peak). I think the argument can be made, that since it’s animated, the violence is less „bad“. Michaels Knowles has a video on precisely this subject- I recommend watching it. And it also doesn’t „glorify“ violence, but instead does have some good messages… The bad thing would be watching something that puts bad stuff in good lighting. Those are just my thoughts though…
Have you watched the latest episode yet? Disappointing actions from Atom Eve
@gabrielstcharles I have, and you are right. At least they portrayed it more negatively than in the comics… when I wrote the previous comment the episode hasn’t been released yet, and I had the hopes they’d change that plot point (they did make Mark regenerate in 2 instead of 6 months)…
@liandumke oh man that’s a good point … just as bad but def interesting. I’m sure someone behind the scenes put some thought into it…. how to make it seem more “justified” I guess
im not keeping up because both shows are not allowed to progress and there are no real consequences to their choices and actions and bith shows are too political plus garth ennis for the boys is an imbecile
The Boys got sooo woke 😵
@gabrielstcharles the boys was always woke it could technically be considered woke since the comic
@sack_bag_duck_man yeah I think I was just naive enough to think it wasn’t from the beginning!
@sack_bag_duck_man true
