5-17-26 The Ascension of the Lord!

Summary of parish priest’s homily: Jesus had to leave yet, he did not leave us orphans. The Holy Spirit was sent to be with us, guide, and comfort us. And so Jesus fulfills everything he says. He said he would be with his disciples to the end of the age. And that hope that Christ brought is what we are to bring to others. The world is filled with darkness through illness, anxiety, depression, violent, etc. And we, on whom the light has shone can shine that light on others and bring hope to the hopeless.

If anyone heard Bishop Robert Barron’s homily this is the part that stood out to me. He said, don't just stand there like the disciples looking up. Jesus will return just as he left. Instead do the work the Spirit is telling you to do. Find out what work that is and do it.
