I was going through my social media doomscrolling again (yes, again) and searching for a message of hope.
My feed felt like it was filled with so much negativity — political arguments, hopelessness, destructive behaviors, and things that just leave you feeling empty.
Then I came across one of my old friends’ profiles. I clicked through his photos and was reminded of the person he always was: someone who trusted God, someone who carried joy, someone who always had a smile.
It made me stop and think about how much more I need to love, how much more I need to choose hope, and how easily we can forget the good that still exists around us.
Then I saw his bio with this quote:
“You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.” — Psalm 71:20
And in that moment, I realized something:
I’m okay.
Not because everything is perfect. Not because life has been easy. But because hope is still there — and God is still working.
