Catholic Mental Health Professionals

Hey all ! So happy to be in this Legion

I'm a Postgraduate Clinical Psychology student, and just had an interview, the interview went really well, but then came the queer affirmative question? Have you come across this in your practise and how do you handle them?

That's tough. First of all, good you got the interview! That's already very hard these days. As for me, I work at a Christian mental health organisation (not a psychologist myself, but I know how coworkers deal with it). So here we also treat our clients from a Christian perspective on it.
I'd say you have to tell your real opinion on the interview. So tell them you still support the clients and want to help them in their mental problems, but can't support the queer things themselves.

Yes, that's what I've decided to tell them in the next interviews with more clarity, it's kinda unfair if they wouldn't hire us for sticking to our core values.
But there is a sense of peace in doing so.
Praise God!

@minolasaldanha If they don't hire you because of your Catholic values, keep trusting God will open a way for you! He surely doesn't ignore what you're sacrificing to stay faithful to Him.
