When visiting Rome, what should I prioritize other than the main 4 basilicas, Colosseum, Pantheon, Holy Stairs, and Trevi Fountain? Of course, I’m going to the Vatican, but I mean the main city of Rome. There are so many places I want to go! It’s so hard since the city is huge! 😭
The way I also want to go to the Basilica of Santa Prassede, Basilica di Santa Croce, San Pietro in Vincoli, Basilica of San Clemente, Palazzo Colonna, and the Capuchin Crypt. I know it’s probably not realistic to go to all of these places…what are y’all’s thoughts? Maybe I’m overthinking 😅😂

I wouldn’t know where to start ! I wanna go so bad
Haha we’re in a similar position with indecisiveness! It’s been a dream for awhile, but learning about the Sposi Novelli and using that as an excuse for a honeymoon helped 😂 Also, I realize that cruises, Catholic tours, and City Passes make things easier and more affordable!
Would definitely do Prassede, Santa Croce, Pietro in Vincoli & Capuchin Crypt.
But in reality, you can actually do all of those things if you stay like 3-4 days at least (I did almost all of that while at the Jubilee year, so the lines were longer - so I suppose you can do it all now). But some of the churches, you might have to rush through, and you'll have to decide if that's worth it. I did because it was my first time in Rome & I'm planning to go back later to spend more time there, but that's up to you!

Ahh good to know! We’ll see what time allows. Thank you so much for the advice!! 🙏🏼
@rosepetalsofmary you're welcome! Tell us all about your visit once you're back!
@misericordia Will do!!
I sure hope you booked the tickets in advance 🤪 how long are you there again?
Haha I got a CityPass in advance, which includes Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Pantheon, Colosseum, etc. The thing is that the CityPass is only good for a certain number of days, so I was trying to prioritize the most important. Rome is so big! 😅
Oh, and I’m on a cruise in Italy right now. Next week, I’ll be sightseeing Rome, Vatican, Assisi, and potentially Castelpetroso. I leave back to the U.S. on 5/23
