Lk 14:1-6

“One sabbath when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching him. And behold, there was a man before him who had dropsy. And Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?” But they were silent. Then he took him and healed him, and let him go. And he said to them, “Which of you, having an assor an ox that has fallen into a well, will not immediately pull him out on a sabbath day?” And they could not reply to this.”

Healing isn’t work to Jesus; it’s not something he charges for or makes a living off of, rather it is part of that free gift of sacrificial love from the Cross. He always wants to save us in order to bring us closer to Himself and our Father in heaven. I’ve been going through a pretty rough week so I think the Lord wants me to be open to his desire to heal me.

What is some healing that you want, and how open are you to the Lords desire to heal you?

I think I'm too often like the Pharisees and see healing like "work" for Jesus - that I have to earn Him healing me somehow. So besides physical healing, Jesus needs to heal that in my heart first as well.
