What would you do if you were a billionaire?

Here’s a fun thought experiment: if you were a billionaire, what would you do with the money?

I often wonder, it’s easy to think that we’d be extremely generous and give a lot to charity. But would we really if we were in that position?

Set myself and my family well off first. Buying our first house I mean. Then invest to keep it growing or flowing at least. Give to charity but my strong desire would be to be magnanimous and replace modern churches with beautiful traditional ones. Raise neoclassical buildings and statues, museums, parks, the works!

I would still do everything I currently do, even charity, but I'd triple it instead 🤭

Probably buy some churches around here to prevent them from getting closed - and restoring them with beautiful art and such!

Apart from taking care of mine and my family’s needs, there are so many persecuted churches in India that have been demolished or vandalised. I’d definitely want to help them in a big way.

Help my family members without giving them too much. Get a reputable financial advisor and try to find a way to generate passive income with that wealth so i can give security to people and have a constant income that i can donate to people.
I'd like to think that since i could retire from work id dedicate myself to the Church but who knows if that much money would corrupt me or not. I can barely manage my current trials so the trial of having a billion would be difficult.

Well this is my current dream, 'If i get rich' situation, from my personal experience, people who make just above enough money for their daily life , are the happiest. The ones just barely surviving or ones with too much money are too focused at it, the rest? I'd like to donate them to people that I feel like needs it, also from my experience ,I've seen people well capable of fixing themselves still asking for help or critiquing others who didn't do their job perfectly, but I've also seen people who would turn their life around if they have or had that opportunity, I want to spend my money on them . It could also be hard for them cause being in a desperate situation and getting lots of money can make people act foolish , and spend the money in things recklessly, so id spend the money myself, maybe as collage fee of some kid, maybe to fix dept directly for someone else? Something like that
