The Holiness of His presence ✨️

Today, while attending Mass, simply being in the presence of God and receiving Him into my heart, I was overwhelmed by one thought: how unworthy I am.

I thought of all the things I have done that nobody else knows about. The things only God has seen—the thoughts, the feelings, the sins, the moments I am ashamed of. Yes, we confess them, and yet when I truly stop and think about the holiness of God, I wonder: what on earth did I ever do to deserve being here?

In the Old Testament, men could not simply enter the Holy of Holies. Yet today, I can enter a church, kneel before the Blessed Sacrament, and simply be there—with God Himself. All because of our Lord and his sacrifice.

Just to be there.

I don't have enough words, enough love, or anything worthy enough to ever thank Him for this grace. And perhaps I never will.

But I want to remember this: how holy that place truly is.

Sometimes we enter in haste. Sometimes we don't give ourselves enough time to adore Him. Sometimes we forget Whom we are standing before.

But God has made it possible for us—dust and mud that we are—to enter that very place where He chooses to dwell among us.

The God before whom the angels stand in awe allows me to come close.

And all I can think is:

How can I ever take His presence for granted?

May I always remember how sacred it is to simply be there with Him.
