Everytime i work on my sinful nature, a different sin attacks me. If i fix lust, gluttony becomes a problem. If i fix both lust and gluttony, wrath becomes a problem. I know i must be doing something wrong and i know without Gods grace i cannot combat these issues but i know i also need to still fight against it.
Has anyone else ever felt this way and if you have what helped you in your journey?

Yes ofcourse 😅 what helped me a lot is 2-3 rosaries everyday, Adoration every week, and daily mass as much as possible. I a still struggle with vices even with regular sacraments. God takes time to grow the necessary fruit in us. And I highly doubt we will ever be free from every vice, unless we become an actual saint, which is also not impossible. So, don't worry too much if you fall in and out of vices. It takes time for us to master ourselves and God will make us perfect in the way He deems best!
I live in isolation as a truck driver and a Church isnt always near but i should still pray the rosary more. I pray it once a day or once every other day but i should consider praying the Rosary more for spiritual strength. Ty for the advice i appreciate it
@garfield being on the road sounds perfect for listening to spiritual podcasts! Or even prayers and reflections like on Hallow. I reckon if you fill up your shift with good things, it will make a big difference. Important to take some breaks to jam out to some tunes of course.
It's good you're continuing the fight against sin! That's the most important thing, never give up. Prayer & frequenting the Sacraments will be very helpful in general.
Besides, of course you should fight against any sin, but you'll probably want to do an examination of conscience to discover what your "main" sin is.
For example, is one sin only smaller sins while you constantly commit more grave sins in another area? Then it's the grave sins you have to fight most. The rest will follow later.
Also, try to look what's the reason that you're sinning and in what circumstances. Maybe both lust and gluttony actually come from pride and you need to work on that core problem. Or maybe you're committing both of those sins when you're bored or frustrated - then it's those situations you need to change.

And don't expect to become totally perfect. We'll always sin. The important thing is that we get back up every time & that we don't commit them voluntarily (that we arent attached to the sin and that we continue to fight it).
Love this
So true!!
@garfield Hey so one thing that helped me is the Unbound book and ministry. It talks about identifying the ways we allowed sin to have a strong hold in our life, like the first time we did a sin in full consciousness,it kind of opens a gateway and it becomes hard to shake the habit because satan has a door open . We need to reflect on and confess about the entryway and renounce the particular sin out loud.It will be super helpful to get the book .Sometimes some of the hurts or traumas or unforgiveness leave an open door for satan to keep working in our lives.Plus attending Mass worthily ,confessing about the times I received Eucharist unworthily.Receiving Eucharist worthily is a game changer .Its the best medicine to shake off sinful habits
