Prayer corner

I am currently creating my prayer corner in my home. I built a kneeled myself and have most of what I want/need. I am looking for ideas. Would love to see pictures of what others have done.

Have items that you find beautiful and timeless. Connect with them on a human level but also see their timeless beauty as something beyond human explanation. I personally have older items. A brass crucifix from the 1800s on a stand, brass chainlink rosary with dark beads, a small red glass with gold votive candle holder, a few prayer books and a Bible all with classic style leather binding. Also a few small Renaissance paintings in frames.

These things can be seen as vain, but I choose them because they make me feel good to have around. And like I said, the beauty is mysterious and inexplicable to me. Thus, bringing me closer to God and thanking Him for these precious gifts.

All that being said, if all you have is a paperback Bible in poor condition, the words in there are more important than anything, universal, and timeless.

Catholic Churches tend to be beautiful. This is to be viewed as a direct reflection of God's divine nature. You can practice the same concept at home!

That's awesome! Mine has mostly icons or paintings, and books. Mostly older/classical items.

Does anyone’s else’s home family prayer corner have pictures of relatives who’ve passed on or is that just an Asian/hispanic thing
