Making the Jesus Prayer a Routine

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Sometimes prayer in public can be difficult for various reasons:
• Fear of looking pharisaical
• Fear of judgment
• Fear of personal attack
• Etc.

So how can we live out Apostle Paul's calling to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess 5:17) while making baby-steps towards getting over these mental obstacles? The Jesus Prayer offers a timeless and structured process of making Apostle Paul's exhortation a reality for our lives.

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."

Truly a prayer of the ancient Church, the Jesus Prayer is for everyone, everywhere, at every time. Consider grabbing yourself a cup of coffee, your nearest prayer rope, and listening to what Matt Fradd has to say about the power of this prayer of ancient Christianity.

Yours In Christ

Thank you so much for sharing. I learned this prayer a tad differently. “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.” 💕
